The Best Christmas Gift...

...is the first one you ever get from your child. Those wonderful teachers at Kendall's daycare helped her make this special picture frame made out of macaroni for us. Kendall is priceless in this costume.

JellyBean is still hanging out and time is going by very quickly. Here's progress at 19 weeks: http://www.babycenter.com/6_your-pregnancy-19-weeks_1108.bc?intcmp=timeline.

Kendall's favorite tune

Kendall's favorite kid's tune is Ring Around the Rosie. She is always humming the melody.

Christmas is what you make it...I guess.

We missed spending this Christmas with our families. Due to Kendall's continuing battle with a double ear infection, we were not able to make our trip to Ohio so we had to celebrate at home. We were lucky Kendall got a reprieve from the fever for almost 24 hours and was able to enjoy the day a little. We hope all of you had a blessed day.

'Twas the week of Christmas...and a creature was stirring

JellyBean

JB was seen by all today (Mom, Dad and Kendall) at the start of my 5th month today (mid-pregnancy ultrasound). This is a significant ultrasound to make sure the baby is growing properly and it is. Those who want to know can learn the baby's sex at this visit. So there are two people now who know...and they are the doctor and the technician!

JB is a super active baby. S/he is 7 oz. and was on the go the entire time with fingers in mouth and tickling of toes. It was a joy to see. I go back in four weeks for another one, but for now are the latest pix of JB inside and out!

KA is trying to get past a flurry of viruses that have led to back-to-back ear infections. She's a trooper, but we just want her to be well for Christmas. Still time left to vote on her favorite tune!

Kendall Avery
Kendall's been checking out the new Christmas tree in the dining room with all the lights and ornaments. She's not nearly as fascinated as I thought she would be. I've been told that kids her age are always trying to take the ornaments off and topple the tree, but she's pretty cool about the whole thing. Perhaps its because she's suffering from her 3rd cold in 5 weeks. She is miserable mostly at night, which means she's my bedtime buddy and Jimmy has the guest room. Lucky Jimmy! Later this week we will have Kendall put on the angel topper. For now, here are some photos of her getting into the spirit of the season.

JB has been really quiet this week, but we have been racking our brains for some good names. We are not coming up with many girl or boy names. If you have any suggestions, leave them for me in the comments and we'll see if any stick.
Here's is the link to the update for JB this week:

Today is Friday and it's all Kendall all day. You really come to admire and appreciate the level of attention and care her daycare providers give when you have to do it yourself. So in keeping with what they would have done...I checked the temperative and decided 40 degrees was warm enough to bundle up for a 10-minute walk. Here's my red-cheeked girl gettting some fresh air.

TTFN (tata for now)

Kendall Avery

This is a big week for KA because she reached a major milestone of cutting her first tooth. It's the right tooth in the bottom front. It's not completely in yet, but it's making its way. We are so excited that we have been telling everyone because we were worried we might have to get her dentures made if they didn't come in soon. Here are some photos with her best bud...her big brother Sanford.

Kendall's big brother, Sanford loves to play fetch.

And Kendall is always trying to get his attention and tell him what to do...she's bossy.
Finally, she sits in one spot long enough to take a picture while she tries to remove her shoes.

JB is 16 weeks old now. Here's a link to the site that shows the baby's progression for this week:
http://www.babycenter.com/6_your-pregnancy-16-weeks_1105.bc?intcmp=timeline. Many have asked us if we are planning to learn the gender of this baby. We have decided that we aren't and we will just make due with our neutral nursery and baby clothes until he or she arrives. I have felt a few random kicks, but nothing consistent. But soon, very soon...

The Beginning BellyBeans Blog

Welcome Family and Friends!

I hope this blog will be the beginning of a wonderful journey through the lives of my beloved BellyBeans, also known as the children of Sharron & Frank Saunders. I hope this blog would help to keep us connected. At minimum, it will keep the grandparents informed and up-to-date.

I will do my best to keep this as uncomplicated as possible. Just a few quick updates and photos posted at least once a week. I encourage and welcome all of you to reply with your own comments.

Finally, I hope this inspires some of you to create your own blogs so that we can all benefit from this not-so-new technology.

Thanks for listening and I will be in touch soon with more!

Smooches,

Roo
