Kendall's New School -- Oh Boy!

Like many kids did this month, Kendall started a new school and moved up to the next "grade level" in the process. She is now in the Two's Class. She left behind the friends that she grew up with at her previous daycare and now she is in a class where she is the only girl with five boys...oh boy! Here are some pix of Kendall at her new place.

Here's our little peanut at 3 months. Although she didn't have a formal doctor's appointment, we think she's probably between 11 and 12 pounds.

Mimi and Mommy took the girls on a trip to the National Zoo this summer. It was a lot of fun to bring to life all the animals Kendall reads about in her books. I just wish someone would've told us it is built on a hill. We were exhausted when we left.

A Visit from Aunt Shirley

Aunt Shirley (Gramm's sister) and cousin Kathye came to visit family in Maryland. Since Kendall was spending the week in Richmond, we took Savannah to meet her. Aunt Shirley is always so much fun to be around. Check out the video of her trying out the dance video game. Nelsons never miss an opportunity to dance.

Kendall's First Swim

Kendall made her first visit to the community pool this summer and she loves it. Auntie Pops took her for a spin around the toddler pool which is about 12" deep. She had no hesitation about going right into the water. Several times she fell face-first into the water and drank her fair share of pool water. But it was not enough to deter or even frighten her. Jumping up and down in the water is just too much fun to resist. She even convinced Mimi to get in!

Aiden's 1st Birthday

Kendall got all dressed up for the first birthday party of the summer season. Aiden is her friend from daycare. Mommy, Mimi and Savannah (only a couple of weeks old) took Kendall and had a very nice time.

Adam's 2nd Birthday

Kendall was invited to the local Romp 'n Roll indoor gym to celebrate Adam's 2nd birthday--also a friend from daycare. She has no fear. She just jumps right in and literally did so with the moon bounce...check out the video.

Kelsie's 3rd Birthday

Kelsie is the daughter of one of Mommy's friends. What a really cool party in DC at a community rec center which had a splash park. This was a family outing as birthday parties are now becoming the only way Jimmy and I get out to do anything. Check out the girls at the splash park (sorry for the horizontal view).

Kamari's 3rd Birthday
Cousin Kamari also celebrated his birthday at an indoor gym. Kendall amazes me. She climbs on things many kids twice her age wouldn't try. It's always fun spending time with cousins Kamari and Kaden.
