Love at first bite

Kendall and Krispy Kreme...love at first bite

One of the things the doctor encouraged at Kendall's latest appointment was to be sure to continue to introduce her to new foods all the time. Dada took that advice to heart and right after the appointment he stopped by Krispy Kreme for a box of their insanely delicious glazed mini donuts. And of course offered one to Kendall. And then another one...and still another. Of course by this time, he wasn't really offering them...she was pitching a fit if he didn't give one to her. She would stuff the entire donut in her mouth.

Eventually we had to hide the box because she knew there was more to be had.

Easter Bonnet

Kendall Avery:

I am not sure I ever got the chance to post about Easter. I have a wonderful video of the Easter egg hunt and tea party that Kendall hosted at Mimi's house for her cousins/buddies: Lauren, Tripp, Gabrielle, Donovan and their cousins LaShae and Cameron. I promise I will post a segment of this video soon as those kids really had a great time searching for eggs in the house since it was raining.

That was Saturday and on Sunday we attended church. KA spent most of her time running the hallways of the church because she was not so much interested in sitting still. We had a wonderful Easter dinner with family in Richmond and then got back on the road. It was a very blessed day!

Kendall Avery at 18 months

KA at the doc's

Kendall is 18 months now and will spend the next 6 months growing in so many ways. She was at her 18-month check-up last week and got a clean bill of health and an overall "thumbs-up" from the doctor. It was nice to visit the doc without her being sick. Here are some of her stats:

Weight: 25.8 lbs (75 percentile)

Length: 33 inches (90 percentile)

The doctor said she is on target with her milestones and showed us the tooth up top that had finally broke through.

Here's a bit more on KA's development:
